  2. Mine has a lowly 1.8 pinto with i guess no more than 100bhp. But it makes the most fantastic noise right through the rev range, catapults me past anything i choose to overtake and puts a smile on my face even just sitting in it. I have had the most fab summer and although i have a duratec ready to replace the pinto i am wondering whether i will loose more of what i enjoy about the car in my quest to achieve some thing (speed and acceleration) i cant use frequently or only in short bursts . It takes all kind a folk . No matter what your car is who ever you meet and go out to play with The best bit is always the playing and thats the greatest thing to me about wscc

  3. Have you tried looking through some of the biker web site like this http://www.twistyride.com/Motorcycle-Journey-Planner.html Googling bike best roads brings uo loads of over sites

  4. I'm with the 170-200 bhp as optimum for track use and road use. Keeping up / going past supposedly far faster, higher powered cars on track is very rewarding. Having the fastest car on track and being fastest has no reward imo. Competition is a different ball game though!

  5. But did you know that Westfield built the lunar rover car, but it was actually filmed in a quarry near Dudley at night. If you look closely you can see the wheels are off a Thwaites dumper and the antenna is really a stainless stell colander from Woolworths. That's why Woolworths closed down in truth, Doris from hardware was going to spill the beans but she had an accident with her Stannah stair lift when two strange men had just serviced it and so many others she told feared for their lives, so they did a crap job forcing the company to go bankrupt. It is true, I read it on the internet

  9. I hadn't realised this crops up for sale from time to time, but makes sense now knowing that it has a history. Maybe we should have a whip round and buy it - then put it in a crusher and get drunk whilst wishing it fond farewell - a bit like a viking burial but without the flames and acrid black smoke.

  10. Always makes me smile whenever that crops up - factory first looked at it in the early 90's a few adverts were seen with a yellow hard-top, nothing ever came of it Exactly why does anyone choose to build an open top sports / kit car and then want to put a roof on it - much easier to buy warmer / waterproof clothing
