Fuel and brake line combined chassis clips

What are people using for clips when they secure their fuel and brake lines? My car currently has these clips

which appear to be old Escort clips (seen them on Ebay), but as they disintegrated in my hands, I'm wondering if there's anything better? They need to be able to do 2x 8mm for fuel, and 1x 6mm for brake at a bare minimum...

Hi Quinten,

I've used rubber lined 'P' clips from Car Builder Solutions. They have a version that will accept more than one pipe.

Yes that's exactly what I used. They are quite easy to bend to fit the cable or pipe combination going through them. The 3 way ones are very nice but pricey.

I use some I can't remember where I got them but I have hundreds of them in the garage. If you see my build thread page 8 you can see them. Can't post a link on phone.

yeh thats right you just drill a hole and push a pin through the middle which splays out some tangs and hold in place.

like i say i have hundreds of them as i could only find them in 200 batches.

i will glady sell you however many you want for not alot of monies

ill upload a better pic of them when i get home

Aww, thats very kind, but I bought the same clips as I had late last night... only needed 5 and they weren't too expensive. I figured they lasted for 18 years, so the new ones will too ;)

Well.... my clips turned up last night and they are useless! Should have paid more attention to the only surviving clip and measured the dimensions

The problem I have is that I do not have access in the tunnel to enlarge the holes to be able to fit yours Bunje.  I could just about unscrew the current clips, not a change I will be able to get a drill in.

They are 2x 5mm, 1x 7mm and 1x 8mm (from memory from measuring them last night). I've just been in the garage and tried to enlarge the 7mm one to 8mm, but there is so little extra material on the clip, that after I got it enlarged, the pipe would not sit tight in the hole. Ah well, only £11 down the drain for some useless clips

I then had a closer look at what is and isn't possible.  My brake line is fine where it is, and if I buy some 5mm p-clips, they can be secured in the same holes that my old clips sat in.  That will just leave me with the two fuel lines.  As far as I can see, I have 2 options

1) fix them on the top of the tunnel (in the tunnel).  I can get a drill in from beneath the car, so would be able to use the 2x p-clips in one hole method.  My only concern is that I do not have anything currently fitted in the tunnel, so no idea how close propshaft or gearbox would be to the top of the tunnel.

2) fix them underneath the car along the edge of the tunnel in the same way as Westfield recommends them.  I do not have lowered floors, so it should be relatively straight forward.  My only concern is bottoming them out on something on the road, but I do not know if that concern is justified.
