Terzo204
Has anyone got experience of using one of these: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/lap-timers/aim-motorsport-solo-gps-lap-timer I think it could be a really useful way of reducing lap times but there are a few options out there. This one has the predictive lap timing and data logging using GPS which seams to be an easy way of doing these things. Mike
AdamR
Yep, very good bit of kit. I have one - happy to chat over it on the phone sometime Mike? Away until Monday though..
Terzo204
Cheers Adam. I'll give you a call next week. I think it will be a sound investment. Works for hillclimbs and sprints as well apparently.
Tim.McKeegan
I must say I used one for years whilst karting, until it came off and got smashed (my own fault). The dataset and ease of use is great although I changed to one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Qstarz-LT-Q6000-Analysis-Software-Charger/dp/B006VTKEOQ just found that the sector times and the green if I'm going quicker or red (normally the case) for slower is easy to glance it. Still use it, good battery life on both products. And you can spend hours and hours analysing.
Terzo204
Looks like a good alternative and I like the idea of the red or green screen - presumably predictive lap timing per sector/split? I'll do some digging into the catchy named 'LT-Q6000' I think.
