Stevec33 Posted June 15, 2016 Share Posted June 15, 2016 Vauxhall redtop engine originally from an 89 astra gte, has the coscast cylinder head which are very rare and desirable now, this is just for the bare engine, no ancillaries at all as in the pictures, has done 6000 miles since it was rebuilt in my westfield, the head was fully reconditioned last year after the lifters started getting slightly noisy, all new lifters/gaskets/seals, light head skim, valves re cut, put over £500 into the head just in parts and machining, bottom end was all checked and given a clean bill of health, needed nothing. Runs very well and is very quiet, i am only selling as i got a good deal on a higher spec engine. The car/engine made 209 bhp at Northampton motorsport last year with graph to prove on throttle bodies and with a simspson exhaust (not included), the spec is as follows- Steel conrods, ae pistons, qed 38h hydraulic profile cams with turbo sport vernier pulleys, custom gated and baffled sump.
