Can somebody tell me how to do this please?

Hi All,

I have a standard Aero screen on my Westy at the moment. Looks nice, no issues, does the job. However, I keep seeing this arrangement on some cars,

which looks like a piece of bodywork with yet another aero on the top. Can somebody tell me what this is? in other words, where do you buy the under aero piece and the over aero carbon? It looks higher, so assumption from me is less drag and wind buffering?

If anybody could please explain and point me in the direction of how to achieve if my assumption around drag/buffering is correct.

Thanks

Scott

The aeroscreen in that photo is the standard factory screen, it's two piece, a lower body colour grp section, then a dark smoked Perspex top section.

Most of the copies do it as a one piece screen in either carbon or grp.

The factory screen also comes with an aluminium bracket that raises the rear edge of the screen slightly higher than an unsupported screen would sit.

The factory screen is shown here before being fixed together, http://parts-shop.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=539&search=Aeroscreen

Note that although you can get replacement transparent Perspex sections, they fit into a shaped recess on the grp piece, so wouldn't be a straight forward mod to an alternative brand aeroscreen.

Cheers Dave,

I might just soldier on with the Aero then. This look like an expensive change for not a huge benefit.

Thanks

Agreed, I think, bar adjusting the height of the back edge with the bracket*, the actual shape of the all in one double bubble screens is more or less the same as the assembled factory two piece unit.

*and you could just as easily do that with the one piece aeroscreens.
