Eyam Plague Village run, Sat 10th Oct, Peak District

Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative

Recommended Posts

Meet at The Wheatsheaf, Baslow, DE45 1SR at 10.30 am.

From there we will divert up Sir William Hill and on to the famous plague village of Eyam. We will park up (free) and take a grisly trip through the village to the cafe for lunch.

Then it will be a drive across the Peak District to The Roaches Tea Rooms, Near Leek, ST13 8TY for further refreshment.

Who can come with us?

If people shout up I can do Sunday instead of or as well as Saturday, if that helps.

I have just sorted the route out and it is a good one. The morning is the high road with great views. The afternoon includes Chatsworth park and then it is all off the main roads, it will be great.

Martyn and Sue - excuse me while I just hijack my own post :) - but we saw this RAW Striker with the reg plate one number away from yours today (zoom required). The owner said it was registered in Ipswich in 1999. If you can get Sue away from drooling at the bike - Kawasaki Ninja Supercharged- that is.

Looks like I should be OK for this! Looking forward to getting out in the Westfield for a proper run...

Good weather is forecast, it will be a great day and I have my new addition to my Westfield winter wardrobe to try out, so I hope it's a little chilly.

I pick the Westie up today after a long wait but can't make tomorrow as we have a viewing on a car for Beth.

I'll be exploring the local roads on Sunday if anyone wants to guide me?

Hi Russ

We have made other plans for this Sunday now unfortunately. Next weekend it is the other way round though, we can't make Saturday (in Scotland) but will be about on Sunday, hope to see you then.

Cheers

Julie
