Hi all. Just aquired a proper westfield after having a couple of robin hoods-awful things!. Its amazing how well the westy goes with its 1.6 cvh on 40s. Drives well, does not feel like a kit!

Hope to attend a track day or two.

 Cheers.

Welcome, you raised my hopes there when I read the title. Westfields are very thin on the ground up here, and I was hoping you were going to be close, I class that as the Midlands!

Ah well, enjoy the car and the club.

Cheers Mark

Robin Hoods (the kits) have progressed a lot in the last few years, prior to that, the kits were very very basic, though priced accordingly, and required lots of work from the builder. Building a really great one took a lot of effort and skill, simply getting on the road in some fashion took some hard work and dedication.

That said, the ability to get on the road for such small sums, with some effort, brought a lot of people into the hobby that might not otherwise have got into it.

Thanks for the welcome. Dont want to offend any robin hood owners, I am sure with work they are ok,certainly the latest lightweight ones look ok. I owned two 2B models, would have been ok, but 300kg too heavy.

 The s2000 sounds ace!!

Welcome, I had a Robin Hood 2B before my SE, the Westfield is a huge improvement in performance, handling etc even though mine only has a 1600 x/flow with twin 40 dellorto's it is better then the previous 2000 pinto. I also think Burnley is 'down south'

ONLY a 1600 x-flow! Is there a better engine?

Hyah Mick from Sunny Manchester :ww:

One of the Manchester regulars lives in Briarfield, so not too far from you, there will be a Manchester area meeting on Wednesday, probably only about half an hours drive from you :t-up:
