Rallimart Posted June 21, 2015 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Just had some new wheels and tyres so my old ones are up for sale. 5 x 5 spoke wheels all in great condition and all tyres have plenty of tread left. They are Ford fitments 4 by PCD108, ET35, J7 and tyres are all 205 50 15. Need to get rid of these as they are taking up space in the garage. I'm in the West Midlands area and collection only please. Rallimart Posted June 23, 2015 Author Share Posted June 23, 2015 I would as I believe all car dis-colour at different rates depending on their environment..pigment in the gel coat and exposure to UV rays. I guess can match the gel coat pigment to your age car. Let me know how you get on as I want to order a v8 bonnet in the winter months if they are able to match the colour pretty good. With 15" wheel sales, getting a good price, used to fall into two camps a few years ago, desirable wheels hubs, desirable tyres. Unfortunately, with the trend for 13" so strong at the moment, I've even seen 15" Image split rims that would have gone in milliseconds a couple of years ago, linger for weeks. I was fortunate to sell a set of wheels/tyres recently, but I also considered the hubs, which would need re-powder coating to look as good as yours, condition wise, to be a small part of the sale, and that the main value was in the Toyo R1R tyres, which still had plenty of meat on them. As the tyres aren't a "known" Westfield tyre, possible buyers probably don't value them as highly, sadly, the five spoke designs aren't so popular at the moment either, (I know, because I spent months looking for a new five spoke style that I liked, and the choice from five or ten years ago, just wasn't there!) FWIW, I think your wheels would look nice on a more classic style Westfield, they compliment the lines nicely. But again, more track style looks are the most popular for new builds and re-builds at the moment. eBay fees are so high now, I'd be tempted to try and move them on elsewhere, even if it's at a little more of a discount - you could try them for £275 and make more than selling them for £300 on eBay!
