SOLD - CAR NOW SOLD

Due to permanently relocating  to California, I am reluctantly selling my car.   Located in Coventry under the care of my brother,  as I am already stateside. I can provide his contact details on request.  You can contact me via xxxx@xxx.com  or pm me for any questions.

12 months MOT, 6 months tax.   I am asking £8900 ono.

The photo shows the car before the  tillet seats and Toyo 888 were fitted and the car now has smaller headlights. I will try to post some additional pictures in the next couple of days.

Originally built in 2001 and registered on a Q plate. Purchased  by me from original builder in 2006  and extensively and continuously refurbished  and upgraded  since. All work completed by myself. 16K miles. Approx 190HP

SeiW power coated wide chassis with Post office Red fixed arch body work and cycle wings. Westfield RAC rollbar. Fitted with 2 litre silvertop Ford Zetec Engine using mostly Dunnell components, including clutch, intake manifold and Dunnell water pipework kit. Radtech aluminium escort style radiator. Powder coated valve cover. Odyssey PC680 racing battery.

Twin Weber 45’s with Dunnell 3D ignition ECU. Mated to “new old stock” MT75 gearbox. Techedge Wideband Lambda system. 6” repackable stainless steel Westfield exhaust

Engine upgrades include ARP rod bolts, Ric Wood CNC machined head with Kent FZ2001 cams and new followers. Intake manifold port matched to head. Dunnell shortened sump.

Webers fitted with 38mm chokes and with special order ITG filer to accommodate 90mm Jenvey trumpets. This is probably the best tuned Zetec on Webers you will find – very drivable on the road under all conditions and tuned by myself making use of the wideband lambda. Updated ignition map supplied by Paul Dunnell to match engine specification.

The rest of the car is completed to a very high specification and cosmetic standard and includes -  Cortina front hubs.  Bremsport (Outlaw) front calipers, Sierra rear calipers. EBC slotted discs. Protech adjustable shocks. 3.62 Sierra viscous LSD. 14” black powder coated Rimstock Qualifier wheels with Toyo 888 tyres. Momo steering wheel with Racetech removable hub. Tillett B4 seats with Alcantara pads and Sabelt 4-point racing harnesses. Drivers seat on adjustable rails. Fire Extinguisher. Carbonmods wheel arch protectors and armrests.

Car has been used mainly as a weekend car and has never been driven in the wet and always stored inside. Superb mechanical and cosmetic condition throughout. Supplied with a box of spare parts including various  jets and chokes, plenty of short style oil filters, two spare reconditioned starter motors and alternators, clutch cables.

Having known this car I would recommend it. Chris has a very high attention to detail and takes care of his car.  :t-up:

you need to shorten the title because it looks like the car is for sale for 16k rather than it has done 16k miles

car looks lovely :t-up:

Thanks Tim - appreciate your positive comments - I hope my brother can come up with the goods regarding photos. In my haste to get out of the country I omitted to take some nice ones.

I also wanted to add I resisted the temptation/trend to fit widetrack front suspension or anti roll bars. I think the current combination of power, suspension configuration and wheel/tyres are perfectly matched.

Car now sold to a very happy new owner, Stephen up in sunny Newcastle. Its gone to a great home and I'm glad he will appreciate and enjoy the car, rather than it just sitting unused in my brother's garage. I procrastinated for as long as I could, but it was the right thing to do in the end to sell.

I just want to extend my thanks to everyone in the WSCC over my 10 years of Westfield ownership. Its a phase of my life where having a car like that and a great owners club was the best medicine to get me through some tough times.

I had my second date with my girlfriend in the Westfield, and she's now my wife living the dream with me in California.

All the best, Chris.
