Blyton Sprint July

I am looking to do the Blyton Sprint on the 11th of July.

I understand that there will be a trackday on the 10th and I was hoping to do both. I appreciate this is jumping the gun somewhat but I cannot find any info on the trackday? Is this a WSCC trackday?

Yes it will be a WSCC organised trackday.

I beleive organisers are finalising details, so hopefully published fairly soon.

Wot Shaggy said, usually!

Wot Dave said :)   and a very nice sociable weekend it is too.  For me the format is-

arrive Thurs eve, set up camp with yer buddies, lots of chit chat and laughs, a couple of beers (not too much or Nick Algar will be after you).

  Track day Friday.

Saturday  watch the sprinting, help out a bit with marshalling, evening down the pub for a nice meal and some beer.

  Sunday same as Saturday.

I gather there will be some extra events this year to add interest.

You do not need any practice at Blyton

Yep...

Thu arrive, set up, beer & a laugh

Fri practice practice practice (likely not on sprint course), beer & a laugh, many BBQs

Sat sprint (me), help out, other Westie activity

Sun sprint (me), help out, other activity

Many hands on deck required to help make it a succesful event. As I'm sprinting so can't volunteer, I'm helping out as much as I can at Stoneleigh.

Is the trackday open to non-WSCC members?

I have a trackday buddy who I think will want to come along on the Friday. I might also be able to persuade him to marshal on the Sat as well.

Blyton Sprint and Track day: official update

I'm one of the organisers for the weekend, we are just waiting on a couple of official things in the background .... and then I will get a official thread started.

but I can confirm we have booked the venue for the full weekend Friday/Saturday and Sunday, the website shop for the day is currently being finalised and I'm trying to get it up ready for Stoneleigh.

Friday - Tack day and then I'm hoping for a social, BBQ, and a few games for the families attending

Saturday - Sprint day

Sunday - Sprint day

I do need helpers and volunteers for every day, be it helping with parking/camping to helping with the running of the sprint.

if anyone has any questions or would like to volunteer then please get in touch with me.

I understand that the gates are often locked at 2200hrs until 0700hrs

In the past the gates have only been closed with the chain wrapped around to look like locked and can be opened at any time.

I say "in the past" and we should check with Richard that this 2015 will be the same.
