Bonnet to nose pin and grommet

Does anyone have a spare pair of the bonnet pins and the rubber grommets that is used to join the bonnet and nose cone?

There's a bit of a delay at the factory getting them and I have next week off work to make a push to finish the build.

I got some suitable grommets off ebay and a small length of aluminum bar and made my own

I have a pair of pins Lewis which I can send you.  Please PM your address.  Grommets should be available from Halfords or the like

Mine took about 4 months from the factory, during that time they took my money (obviously) then claimed I'd not paid for them. Then I finally received the rip off items. In hindsight I wish I'd made my own!

I managed to loose a grommet the other week; I've put a temporary one in, but it can be tricky getting ones that will fit a thick grp panel. A quick search at the time was just pulling up the usual 1 or 2 mm panel thickness types. Must have a proper look!

I'm at that point too! All I need now is time - luckily my grommets arrived eventually (were missing from the bonnet kit!)

Got my grommets from Westfield a month ago. Did get a passable substitute from Halfords. Not perfect but worked with help from bit of glue! Had to enlarge the hole to allow the pins to fit easily.

Very difficult to get the right grommets from anywhere other than the factory. You can get some that do, but they are not as thick.

Exactly what I've been finding, it's that thickness for the grp that's the killer.

Threadjack!

As I will need a solution for fastening my bonnet in the near future and I do not have the pins/grommets are there other possible solutions?

I will be using latches on the rear end but four latches, which would be one solution, might not look too good?

I had four latches on the last car, worked fine and they're one of those things you get so used to seeing they sort of disappear after a while.

You can catches in black too, which on certain car colours makes them even more discrete.

Otherwise you're into fitting a Dzus catch type arrangement.

Aagh!  I've just found out that I can't get them off unless I use a dremel. They are a bit loose in their holes but the s/s allen headed screws appear to be threadlocked into the aluminium pins.  :(

Lewis is back in the market!

(Sorry)
