Amongst various lumps of shiny metal at Silverstone today I happened across these two:

Nice to see them out and about. Hopefully mine will be there at the next one! :)

Did you see the Porsche incident Ben?

Yes, it hit the pit wall about 20 feet from where I was standing. It was one hell of a bang! Glad the two occupants were OK, but still not nice to see someone's P&J totalled like that :(

I saw it happening and right from the "holy" I knew it was going to end bad...

Yep, looking at the pics I took I was standing a bit further down the pit wall.

Hope you had a good day anyway, was my first SS but certainly not the last :)

I think he probably ran out of talent at just the wrong moment.

I have seen a few cars loose it there.  It keeps tightening before the start of the straight and there is a small bump and change of surface at that point..

I was there driving my heavier daily driver just before this happened and I'd had to have a word with myself. I found myself starting to feel like a legend in my own lunchtime.... after the long Luffield corner, I was wanting to push more and more heading up to Woodcote, over the kerbs each side, no lifting, push a bit more, the exhausts sound amazing, loving this... luckily I realised I was generating a bit of momentum and getting to the edge of my talent.

That poor Porker owner.. with a rear engine swinging you out there, ouch :(
