Mallory Park trackdays

So looking on the Javelin website, Mallory Park is now listed for this year however the sound limit is 88dba.....after doing a few trackdays in 2014 and really getting the bug, this is such a disappointment. Also, judging by the machinery which usually attends these sort of events, they have severely limited their audience.

I can only assume the local residents are still getting their way on the amount of noise produced at the circuit.    These lower limits are going to restrict any enthusiasts  cars apart from your average modern Tin Top.  There will be days with higher noise limits but I guess they will be reserved for actual race meetings.

I used to go there for track days years ago and I found it a enjoyable little circuit.

They ran open test days every wed ? AM (free admission for speckies)  .

All kinds of racing machinery there , historics , modern , single seater , sports racing , tin tops , you name it , all have silencers fitted afaik

Not sure if its still being run this year but always worth a sniff at if your in the neighborhood  :t-up:

88db is ludicrously quite. Only standard road cars could do this and you would have to keep the revs down.

My diesel Mondeo might just scrape through... crazy! They've also removed the open pitlane format, instead having 3 groups. They're selling it as ensuring you're out on track with similar performance vehicles but I don't buy that. It just means less track time to me therefore reducing the value for money.
