Sinbad
Trying to fix a problem with some trim on a Focus. The crome strip on the bonnet is somewhat springy and need to find the best adhesive to hold it in place. Have tried "normal" mastic but without success. Suggestions please as to what would do the trip. Cheers Paul

SootySport
You can buy special external trim tape for this sort of thing. Place's that sell autopaints and sundries sell it. If it's just a couple inches required, Number plate tape works just as well.
Sinbad
Picked up some number plate tape from my local motor factors today and will attempt the fix tomorrow in the dry. Thanks for all the pointers!
clive_r
I've used Halfords trim tape on body mouldings very successfully, although admittedly there was no 'spring action' to overcome.
clive_r
Also, if you're using tape this time of year heat the areas to be fixed with a hair dryer, gives a much better bond.
