HUGE thanks to Martin (marto303 aka The Rainmaster :marto: ) and Ro for all their effort, patience and great work to make this happen :t-up:

Here's the second start up, just shows the benefit of buying a complete engine set up on here (also helps when it's from the man, the legend Dave Eastwood!):

A good day Barny, I'm so pleased it's all worked out well for you  :t-up:

I agree with you on the benefits of buying a proven engine package from a reliable source, as this has been a relatively straight forward installation.

Though you've had to stretch your budget to get this far, to upgrade from a broken crossflow to a 235hp fully forged XE would have cost you treble or more if you'd have started from scratch  ???  and you now have a very competitive car

So a little bit of tidying in the engine bay, body work back on and the Red Beast is ready to roll  :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:

The 2015 Speed Series Novice Championship is hotting up, I'm so looking forward to having you in class b with us, not sure what the outcome will be  :westy:  :silver-westy::silver-westy:  :westy: but it's going to be fun finding out  :d

Good news

I will hopefully be joining you soon as just ordered the last parts to build a 'sister' engine.  I just could not resist more revs from moving to solid lifters.

Great news! Well done gents.

Translates to 'Few, glad I didn't sell a duffer!!'

Always better than 'I've fitted a second hand engine and it has a slight knocking noise'!!

Only joking Dave, but know there is always a feeling of responsibility attached to any sale.

More that Dave got a very over-excited phone call from me shortly after the first video, where I put the phone to the TB's so the reinvigorated XE could have a chat with its builder :d The surprise had gone for Dave by the time this post was made!

Thanks once again Mart, your a gent and a legend :t-up: and I look forward to everything this season of sprinting has to offer :)

This definitely goes down as a great day in my books!

I'm just tipsy enough to admit I had a lump in my throat listening to my old mate roar!

Mind you, I've had a run of questions by text, getting ever more "dotting I's and crossing T's" in content, so I wasn't too surprised to know it was running.

Always good to to hear them fire up for first time

What is reading 0.9 and 1.0 etc on the dash

If its oil pressure that needs checking

Thanks all, yes it was definitely amazing and I just can't wait to get it out on the road and track.

David's right, it's the RPM display. Oil pressure was around 80psi.

You must be a happy Bunny :d  Welcome to the C20XE club.

Maybe you should uprate it to something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH308P1eoEM uncanny,  the same colour cam cover.

Thanks Sooty, can I get one of the XE badges now??
