Never Too Old
In readiness for my first Westfield, I have purchased a 'Deltran Battery Tender Plus' from the USA with the following specs: Input 120v, 325mA, 60Hz. Output 12v, 1.25A. Could someone please advise me what type/size of 240v to 110v Step Down Transformer I should be looking for, one that will need to be left switched to maintain the battery during limited Winter use. I've been on the 'net having a look but because my electrical knowledge is limited, it seems to be a bit of a mine field. Your help will be much appreciated - thank you all in advance. SootySport
You can buy ready made battery conditioners in the UK, C tek is one of them and quite a few forum members use them.

tisme
You could try any number of sources - Amazon or ebay for example http://www.amazon.co.uk/240v-120v-Step-Down-Transformer/sim/B000NIYH94/2 Presumably one of the low wattage ones would suffice. As mentioned though, CTEK http://www.ctekchargers.co.uk/ or RING http://www.ringautomotive.co.uk/uk/content/battery-care all do "intelligent" battery chargers that can be left connected for long periods (and designed for UK voltage conditions). My concern over using any "step down" piece of equipment is a) it adds to the amount of electricity used (albeit small agreed) but b) is just another potential electrical (fire) risk especially if of unknown quality from the far east. Never Too Old
Many thanks for your help and advice - I'll be checking both CTEK and RING. Roger
