For sale: 2000 Westfield SEiW 1.8 Zetec £7,000 ONO as a pre-Christmas reduction. Will go back to £7,500 Ono in the New Year to wait out spring.

I've decided to move on from Westfield ownership to scratch a flat 6 shaped itch.

Overview:

Factory supplied 1999 1800Q SEIW kit built by the previous owner (an engineer for Triumph) and put on the road in 2000. It was originally yellow with SEiGHT kit-style bodywork with a windscreen and heater. I've owned it since March 2012 and have spent rather a lot over the last few years.

The car has done less than 18,000 miles with the vast majority completed in the first few years post-SVA where the previous owner toured Europe.

15,756.8 miles

- 31st August 2013

16,273.4 (+516.6)

Cam belt

Spark plugs

Water pump

4L 5w-30 fully synth Castrol Magnatec + Mahle OC606 filter

- 17th July 2014

Chassis:

- SEi Wide

- Caterham-style front front indicator pods

- Small mirrors mounted on the scuttle

- MOMO 280mm flat bottom wheel with quick release boss (new in 2014)

- Westfield gear knob (new in 2014)

Problems & issues:

I'd rather be up front with known issues with the car (they all have them!) so here they are:

- The wishbones etc could do with powder coating and it's still on the original Spax dampers.

- The clutch release bearing squeals when a gear or neutral is engaged but stops with the tiniest amount of pedal pressure. It has done this since I acquired the car and got no worse. Clutch operation is otherwise perfect.

- The car originally had a stereo and therefore has speaker holes in the rear panel. These have been covered but are still there.

- The GRP boot cover isn't very good.

Spares included:

- Front number plate & yellow rear number plate

- New steering rack

- Shift lights

- Spare oil filter

- Aerodynamix rear arch protectors

- Spare 14" wheel with Yoko AO32R tyre

- Black rear panel (new)

Other items for sale once car has sold:

- 13" Image three piece split rims (no tyres) £550

- Aerodynamix wide front wings to suit the wheels £120

- Aerodynamix GRP seat. Never fitted (no runners) £120

A few more pictures of the suspension etc. The passenger seat is out while I await the new harness to arrive (only 1 was in stock). It's worth pointing out, if not obvious that the chassis and general underside reflects the age and mileage. However while the body was off the chassis was treated and tidied up in key (hidden!) areas to keep it sound.

Good luck with the sale.

It's good that you have posted pictures openly but personally I would invest some time sorting the worst of the rust especially on the rear wishbones as it could deter potential buyers.

Please take as constructive feedback

David

Price temporarily reduced to £7,000 Ono pre-Christmas. Will go back up to £7,500 Ono in the New Year to wait out spring.

Also open to a deal on the car, wheels and front wings too - see other threads for pics and (standalone) prices on these.
