jim_l
Just noticed the infra red thermometer I paid £54 for in Maplins now has £25 off. Too late for me but not a bad bit of kit for anyone looking for one. Like all IR thermometers is a bit dependent on the nature of the surface for highly accurate readings but is VERY good for comparing relative temps, around your CH system, around your cooling system, across your tyres, etc. etc. And...it has a trigger and you can point it at stuff, endless fun. Scottish Bloke
Great for measuring brake temps too, ideal for testing bias balancing.
Lawrie
Good for tyre temperatures across the tyre to check camber, coolant pipes and cookery. I had mine for years and it was £25 off then. There's a smaller one for £
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO
Thanks for that Been wanting one for a while As you say, great for diagnostics As said they are useful and a good price but just check the temp range as some of them can be quite low so can't do some diagnostic tests e.g. exhaust header/catalyst temperatures. I found one on ebay for around 20 quid that will go up to 800 degrees celsius.
Lyonspride
Mine was an eBay job, very accurate, cost about £15. I forget which one (in Portugal right now) but its something-900.
