Captain Colonial
Nothing about landing it, I see! But excellent, very similar in many ways to the procedure on modern PPLs. Oh, and better hope someone's pre-flight checked it thoroughly as well! If only I had the money...!

John K
All total rubbish. Much easier than that... I've got a PlayStation so I know how to fly everything from a Spitfire to a F22 You hold down the X button and pull back on R3 Just like I know how to opposite lock a GTR round the Parabolica

Matta
Excellent article! Flying in a Spitfire is the one thing I've dreamed of since boyhood (a while ago....). When I was still at school (15 or 16yrs old), I worked for the Royal Scottish Museum in the holidays. One year it was around the time they were setting up the museum of flight at East Fortune airfield and I spent many happy days there. I used to sit in their Spitfire to eat my sanny's at lunchtime. It didn't get better than that! Matt
