Boombang
Rather than forking out for a new one, wanted to see if anyone had a used one? I don't mind borrowing if someone would rather lend that sell.

Terry Everall
If you have large dia trumpets you may need to use a plastic funnel to reduce dia etc
Boombang
Bought from JJC on eBay and a pucker German made STE job turned up. 30 seconds later got it balanced, 5 minutes later it's idling like a dream all the way down to a solid 900rpm. Within 10 minutes I've identified the pump jets are a touch large, swapped them out and got it as good as I can with the jets I have. Want to try a slightly smaller idle or leaner idle holder, with a slightly smaller pump jet, but it's certainly close enough to hand over to the professionals and get on the rollers. Lawrie
Money well spent. :-) Yes, but its proved that there are differences between the chokes in each carburettor. Has anyone got a solution to that? The bible doesn't seem to cover it
ALLADDIN
Either leaking or twisted spindle ? Is it a significant amount ? Or leaks in manifold etc of course.
Man On The Clapham Omnibus
I use this instrument http://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/products_details.asp?PartNo=MANOMETER4&CategoryID=2&PartsectionID=59 bought from Eurocarb in Reading. If you have the vacuum take-offs it's quicker than measuring individual venturis one at a time.
Lawrie
That's posh. Eurocarb do have some good kit Either leaking or twisted spindle ? Is it a significant amount ?Or leaks in manifold etc of course. I think its been the same from new. Meter reads 5 on one choke and 7 on the other. Both butterflies are slightly open
ALLADDIN
I do have a similar mercury set but webers don't always have takeoffs . 5 and 7 seems a fair bit: have you checked the both butterflies sit fully closed when they are supposed to be.?
