I have the footage from Graham Franklands spin at Loton park yesterday which I want to post as usual, trouble is the video is 23 mins long and I cant upload to youtube.

Can anyone help with software required to trim this down to the few mins needed ? I have it saved as a quick time MOV file I think.

Cheers Martin

You could try VideoMach, it's free and no malware/etc.

There are other packages, but it's really hard to know which to trust, as most get a single recommendation on random forums, by new users who then disappear.

I think GoPro Studio should be able to handle that...

As an aside, I noticed your last few videos have been fairly 'choppy' in how the footage looks, rather than smooth - I think you might be recording in 4k mode which is only 12fps hence the choppiness, if you want any help with the camera just give me a shout!

Thanks Adam

What should I be recording in instead of 4K

RaceRender

Or you can configure YouTube to allow larger videos to be uploaded. I don't have this information at hand but can dig it out later.

Go pro studio as Adam says.

If you don't get the gopro settings figure out I scan help, Off the top of my head I use 50fps and 720p

Yeah, I was gonna suggest 720p (or 1080) and 50fps - you'll munch much less memory card space, the footage will be much smoother, and still be more than adequate quality for web use :)

Actually do we really want to watch Martos driving skills in HD?!

Probably best with 240!

I changed a few parameters from my daughters video of me doing the ice bucket bit just yesterday from her phone using  Go pro studio. File was mov and it converted it to avi or something else and I could alter the quality to reduce the file size. Then I ran out of skill and could only reduce the file size by about 20%.

What's the matter with using (the free) Windows Movie Maker??? When used alongside Format Factory or similar it's a great free tool....
