First wet weather trip

It had to happen sooner or later...

When I headed out to SuA today it looked a bit dodgy with dark clouds and gusting winds.

So I deliberately left with no more than a baseball cap and a wet weather jacket. The lid had been in the shed since I got it.

Coming back it was a proper full on thunderstorm, thunder, lightning, hail and torrential rain.

The rain was bad enough but as the roads flooded any big rigs coming the other way just dumped gallons of water into the cabin.

Got home a full on drowned rat, but I still had epic amounts of fun..!

Bet it won't be the last either now you've popped your rain cherry ;)

It's the look on others faces that makes my laugh :)

I was caught in a torrential downpour in March, freezing cold!  But i just couldn't stop grinning, as said above the look on peoples faces just made me laugh, i must have looked like a right nutter.

I guess you looked like a nutter too, in the nicest possible way

It goes from people looking in awe at you in the hot weather to people looking at you confused and wondering are you a nutter.

Best part!

Agree with all of the above.

For me the stand out confused person was the guy at the petrol station just over the bridge as I paid for the fill up.

"Mate, you do know there's a storm coming, you might want to put the roof on before you leave"

"Haven't got one, it's in the shed"

"So what do you do when it rains?"

"Get extremely wet, it's part of the whole experience thing that wives just don't get"

"OK Cool, I think..."

John - I think you have the beginning of a script to the movie "Life as a Westfield Owner" right there. At least the trailer.

i got caught big time at lichfields cars in the park last month

it started getting dark so i said to the missus we better get going before it hit

everyone else had the same idea,so we sat queuing to get out of the car park with it lashing down - to the amusement of all the other people - one bloke in a discovery offered us a brolly

as i said to my missus that the only thing that was dry was my feet a gap appeared in the queue and i went for it - and a load of freezing cold water poured onto my feet :)
