SOLD - 1994 Narrow Bodied Red Top XE

I bought my car off this forum 9 years ago, it's been a real learning experience and thoroughly enjoyable time. Back in 2005 the car ran a rather bog standard CVH with a windscreen and dated interior, it's a very different car nowadays having evolved through the years. In 2008 the CVH was binned in favour of a 2.0 16V Redtop, the whole car was rewired, the interior and dash redone and many other upgrades since.

The time has come to move on and try something different. I fancy something with a V8, may well be a Westie V8 as my driveway is rather narrow, doesn't leave many options.

I have used the car on track, the brakes, suspension and cooling system have been upgraded to cope with the demands. I did a charity (non competitive) hill climb at Prescott in June and the car performed faultlessly.

The rundown:

1994 SE white

500KG

Fully rebuilt C20XE on Weber DCOE 45's (36 chokes) with fully balanced bottom end. RR setup in May 2014 with printout available, 183bhp and 160lb/ft (below)

Ford type 9 gearbox

Polo radiator with all blue silicon hoses

Battery cut off switch

Simpson 7" stainless steel silencer and link pipe from manifold

SBD organic clutch with Sierra cover plate

Protech shocks and springs (fitted May 2014)

Freshly re-powdercoated wishbones, trailing arms and panhard rod with all suspension bushes replaced (May 2014)

Rally design brake kit, Powerlite calipers with Mintex 1144 pads. 265mm oversized brake disks

Alloy front hubs

Dominator 4" headlights

Indicators relocated underneath headlights with carbon fibre housings

RAC rollbar with rollcage padding from Caterham

Carbon boot lid cover

Carbon dash with VDO gauges (speedo, rev counter, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp)

Removable suede steering wheel

Carbon aeroscreen

Leather gearlever and handbrake gaiters

Revolution alloys 13x7 rear/13x6 front (re-powdercoated 2013) with Toyo 888's tyres barely worn

Redtop battery relocated in-front of passenger seat

Playskool cycle wings and rear arch protectors

Playskool seats, passenger side adorned with 'no fat chicks' sticker  :p

Four point Sabelt harnesses

The car wants for very little, the bodywork isn't immaculate but I've always been in more interested in driving than polishing it.

The guys at CFM engineering (rolling road visit May 2014) described it as an absolute missile, I agree

£7500

I am based in Farnborough, Hampshire
