Sold: £75.50

The annual kit car show at Stoneleigh! Packed the car with stuff that I no longer have a use for and after some creative use of straps it is surprising the amount of stuff you can take with you ;)

But, the great English weather being what it is, changed for the worst and although we've had lovely weather in the weeks leading to it, the day starts off with heavy rain

It dried up on the way in and by the time we parked up, the sun started to peek out from behind the clouds.

I managed to get rid of everything and earn more than I spend on new stuff, which is nice :)

Having bought a selection of bolts and nuts yesterday I was finally in a position to replace the damaged cycle wing with it's replacement which came with the car... Only took 1 year to fit it!

Another job I wanted to do for a long time; getting rid of the grey look at the front. Bought a tin of black paint and just applied it to the grill as that is bonded in the nose cone.

Spotted some very nice looking wide mirrors and decided that I could justify the money to improve the vision backwards. Have for now placed them on the old mirror position, but most likely I'll move them slightly again as the current position does not allow for very good adjustment.

Black is the new black ;)

Now just to get rid of those nasty chrome headlights.

Spend: £17.98

Decided I didn't like the amount of yellow on the car and having done wrapping in the past I figured I could get away with wrapping the cycle wings with some 3M carbon vinyl.

Couldn't get the wrap neatly around the edges, so cut my losses (literally) and went for the half carbon look instead.

As mentioned earlier, I wanted to replace the chrome headlights with a more modern black version and settled on Dominators. Also spotted a neat solution for mounting indicators on a car at Stoneleigh, so I started to create my own version.

Start off with a cardboard template and transfer the shape to a piece of carbon.

Then with the help of some power tools you end up with the final version :)

The indicators are tiny, but pack a punch ;)

It's barely noticeable in the picture, but I applied a black pin stripe to the edges of the carbon vinyl and replaced the chrome bolts with their black counterparts.
