All,

New 1800 Zetec - nearly done but need to test the wiring.

Any advice / past experiences / good ways of doing it without going through umpteen fuses? ???

Thanks

I would just start and run the engine, see what happens.  Can't see how you can test everything before it's first run.

Thanks Soot1e.

I was thinking along the lines of lights, indicators, wipers, etc. so I can get the dash finally fixed in place - maybe using a low amperage battery just to test that I have made the right connections.

fuses will cover you if you have made a mistake - so id not worry too much - if youv not butchered the harness i cant see there being much problem

I laid mine all out on a board before putting it in the car - I had done loads of butchery though so it needed a good test. Everything was linked up bit by bit to eliminate any problems before it was in the car. I treated circuits individually until I knew they all worked and then linked them all up together.
